Let's face it, we all have hundreds if not thousands of selfies on our phones and computers, but besides sharing these photos on social media, what do you really do with them?! This is where your experience with Vanessa Leon Photography begins. Our first question to every new client is what do you want to do with your portraits? Our goal is to help you create beautiful artwork to display in your home, your offices, and more. Portraits capture the sweetest moments of your life so why not have something tangible that can be passed down for generations to come?!

 

Your experience begins with a one-on-one consultation, this can be done over the phone, via video chat, or (our favorite) in-person. This consultation helps us get to know each other. We want our consultation to be the beginning of a friendship. Next, we will discuss dates, times, locations, and our favorite... your planning guide! Whether you're planning your big day, or a family lifestyle session, we want you to have the best experience we have to offer, our guides are more than just a blog post with a few outfit recommendations. We've included 20+ pages of content to help you feel confident and prepared the day of your session or event. We've included tips for him, her, and the family, and for our brides, we've included everything from must-have bridal details to money saving tips, what to do in case of rain, and so much more!

 

Before your session and/or event, we'll touch base again to discuss any weather concerns if necessary, our timeline or meeting place, driving directions etc. And after your session/event, we will set a date and time for your gallery reveal. This can be done in person, or via online chat. During this time, you will get to see your gallery slideshow for the first time! We will also guide you through our wall portrait and album options, and you will have the opportunity to make selections for any desired products. In order to create images that look & feel intimate, joyful, and timeless, each step of our client experience (before, during & after your session/event) is important to us. We're not just taking your photograph, we are capturing moments that will last a lifetime!

Lifestyle Sessions

 

What kind of photographer are you?

I am a natural light, lifestyle photographer. Natural light means I use light provided by the sun and its reflections. Lifestyle means I do a little bit of posing and then I want you to infuse your own personality into it. The goal of my photography is to capture genuine interactions between you and your loved one(s)!

 

Where will my session be held?

Sessions are held either on-location or in your home. The first 40 miles roundtrip from Nazareth, Pennsylvania are included in your session investment. For locations outside of the local area, please contact the photographer for a custom travel fee quote. 

 

What time is best for sessions?

As a natural light specialist, I believe that natural light creates photographs that feel fresh, timeless and most true to you. I begin all portrait sessions two hours before the scheduled sunset during “the golden hour,” when the light is the dreamiest. However, if you have your heart set on a location with heavy foot traffic, I recommend scheduling your session at sunrise. 

How long will my session be?
Sessions are typically up to an hour. Although I ask my couples & families to expect to shoot for up to 90 minutes. This will allow enough time to introduce poses & for breaks (especially when young children are involved). 

What will my session be like?

My sessions are fast-paced, high energy, and fun! This is all about creating an experience between loved ones and capturing moments that are intimate, joyful & genuine. Please expect to be extra snuggly, giggly, and even some slow & tender kisses. ;-)

 

 

What should I wear?

Not an outfit stylist?! No need to worry, whether you are planning an engagement session, a maternity session, or a lifestyle session to capture a major family milestone, my portrait session style guide is designed to create a stress-free experience. This is more than just outfit recommendations. I've included 20+ pages of content to help you feel confident and prepared the day of your session.

 

How far out are you booked?

Sessions are typically booked 1 month in advance, although, allowing more time will always give you the best flexibility in scheduling. 
 

 

How can I order prints and products from you? Will I get the digital photos from my session?

After your portrait session, we will schedule an online or in-person reveal of your images (within 30 days). At this time, you will be given the opportunity to order any products or prints desired.  You will also be given access to a private online gallery for up to 30 days to view, share, download and/or purchase additional prints, digitals, etc. 


Please note, your session includes a minimum of 50 edited images, and you will be able to view, download, and share as much as you like. The digital downloads included with your investment are available with or without our logo.

Weddings

 

What does my wedding day coverage include?

Each wedding day experience is designed & tailored to capture all of the most important moments of your special day and includes 8 hours of coverage with me plus an assistant. During the wedding day, I will capture photos of the bride’s details (rings, shoes, dress, etc.), getting ready photos of the bride, a first look (if you’d like), ceremony coverage, your bride and groom portraits, family formals, reception coverage & more.

 

Your investment includes your wedding consultation, our Bridal Guide, eight hours of wedding day coverage, and a gallery with a minimum of 450 edited images for you to view, share, and download. 

 

Why do an engagement session?

I truly believe that an engagement session is a VITAL part of the wedding experience. During your engagement session,  you'll have the chance to get to know me, experience how I shoot,  and how I handle posing & lighting. The session will make a HUGE impact on how the wedding day flows. I'll arrive on your wedding day already knowing how you two interact, what your best poses are, and how to photograph you in a genuine way! What I will learn about you during your engagement session is invaluable! You will feel like such a pro on your big day because of the great practice you had during your engagement session, and that's how it should be!

 

Your engagement session can be scheduled anytime before your wedding date. I usually suggest 3-6 months in advance to avoid stress. 

 

Do you charge for travel expenses? 

There is no travel fee for venues within the Lehigh Valley area. For venues beyond this, the first 40 miles roundtrip from Nazareth, Pennsylvania are included in your wedding investment. If you have specific questions, please contact the photographer for a custom travel fee quote. 

 

Will you go over my wedding day timeline with me?

During our consultation, we will discuss a sample timeline for your wedding day. Once booked, you will also have access to our bridal guide with 50+ pages of my best tips & tricks to have a stress-free wedding day. We will keep in touch to make sure to schedule enough time for the parts of your day that are most important to you and also make sure we have enough time to capture all those little details that you're working so hard to plan. Roughly, three weeks before your big day, we will touch base again to confirm your wedding day timeline. At this time, I will also send you a wedding day questionnaire so I can make sure to note all the important details in order to best serve you, your bridal party, your vendors, and your guests.

 

What happens if I need more coverage time for my wedding day?

My wedding collections include eight hours of wedding day coverage; however, you can always add-on additional coverage before or during your event. Additional hours of coverage is typically needed if you're interested in a specialty exit (ie, sparkler exit) or if you want coverage for the entire reception. Additional hours of coverage will be billed at the current rate of $300 per hour. 

 

Are you insured?

Nothing is more important to us than safety, but since the unexpected can sometimes happen I make sure to maintain a business liability insurance policy. This protects my Clients from claims by the property owner for accidental damages. Certification of insurance is available upon request. Terms & details will be located in your wedding event contract.

 

When will I get the digital photos from my wedding? How can I order prints and products from you?

After your event date, we will schedule an online or in-person reveal of your images (typically within 60 days of your event date). If you do not choose to invest in one of our wedding collections, at this time, you will be given the opportunity to order any wall portraits & products a la carte. If you have multiple parties interested in purchasing prints who cannot make it to your gallery reveal, or if need more time to make decisions, not to worry, you will be given access to a private online gallery for up to 30 days to view, share, and/or purchase additional prints, digitals, etc. 

 

Please note, your wedding event includes a minimum of 450 edited images, and you will be able to view, download, and share as much as you like. The digital downloads included with your investment are available with or without our logo.
